Master
Kuo Remembered The annual memorial was held Sunday morning, June 8th, at 7:00 am, with between 30 and 40 participants honoring Sifu Kuo's memory. Direct students from the late master as well as students from lineage branches (Y. C. Chiang, Peter Kwok, Henry Look, Jarl Forsman, and Kimo LePree) gathered. Grandmaster Henry Look lead the group in a short formal ceremony during which each attendee was able to pay her or his personal respects to the Master and make an incense offering. Following the formal ceremony everyone lined up in one large group to perform the Guang Ping Yang taiji set all together. Afterward, students shared demonstrations of Xing-yi, Guang Ping Taiji Jian, Taiji Applications Form, White Crane and other forms. They closed the memorial services with a fabulous dim-sum meal where there was lots of good fun and conversation, and ample opportunity to make new friends and do a little catching-up with old ones! |
